Building a security tagging system for Soroka in Kensington
Soroka carefully curates hand-selected homeware items from around the globe. Offering top quality pieces both vintage and modern, Soroka describes themselves as 'a go-to destination for those one-of-a-kind finds crafted by up-and-coming designers'.
Their new store in South Kensington represents their first in the UK so it was important for them to set a secure, yet friendly atmosphere from the get-go. This is where the Tagmax team came in.
The Project & Solution
Having helped a myriad of start-ups with tagging security systems over the years, we were the prime choice for Soroka. Their store is located on Walton Street in South Kensington – a busy thoroughfare that sees many customers pass through daily.
After talking to them to understand their precise requirements, we decided on installing a single pedestal system from our 'Optimum' range. This tagging system can work with a variety of different tags (hard or soft) for use on a vast range of products.
One stand-out request that the client had was that they didn't want visible cables running throughout the store. So, we liaised with the site electrician to run the cables to the basement, direct to the power supply.
After the consultation with the electrician, we got to work quickly and being a standard installation for us, the job was completed on time and with relative ease, allowing the client to welcome customers on their planned opening date. The tagging security system we installed comes with a 1-year warranty as standard, after which the client is considering taking out a maintenance agreement with us.
