Radley's new retail security solution
The Client.
A well-known designer and manufacturer of handbags, purses and other women's accessories for the UK and international markets, Radley was established in 1998 and has since become a market leader. The shopping centre itself is a well-established retail destination in Bridgend, owned by the McArthurGlen Group which runs similar luxury outlets across the world.
As a busy centre, it's imperative that the client has a sufficient security infrastructure in place – not just to offer protection to its products, but also to create as less intrusive environment as possible for customers. A tagging system is perfect for such a job.
The Project.
Radley already have a presence within the centre but an opportunity to move to a more suitable store emerged and thus, they sought to relocate everything. We visited the store at the very start ofthe shopfitting process to arrange power and conduits with the site foreman – ensuring that the foundations of the security system were in place before the shopfit was completed.
Aside from saving on time, the other benefit to doing this was that it allowed us to complete the job of fitting the system in a straight forward manner on our second visit. This '2nd fix' was completed the day before trading, allowing Radley to get everything on the shop floor in place and ready for opening, safe in knowing that their security would be protected.
The retail security system we fitted was our prominent 'OPTIMUM AM' pedestal system. This is a cutting-edge acousto-magnetic system that has outstanding detection which not only allows for superb tracking of tags but also reduces the number of false alarms too. Its integrated system can also be equipped with optional features like people counting, metal detection and magnet detection – perfect for any retail business that needs to protect its operation while progressing it too.
As a result of the 1st fix, our experienced fitters and our existing relationship with the client, the project went without a hitch and they were able to open on time, with no disruption caused to trading. Another successful project in the books!
