A well-known leisure centre in Barking sought to upgrade its security measures to prevent theft, particularly of swimwear and swimming aides. As part of their ongoing commitment to security, this installation marked the 7th system that Tagmax has successfully deployed for this leisure centre group.
Solution
Tagmax installed a pair of X Clear AM pedestals, a reliable and highly visible security system designed to act as both a deterrent and a detection mechanism. Given the need to retrofit the system within an existing tiled floor, our team took a meticulous approach by carefully chasing out the grout between the tiles to accommodate the necessary wiring.
Installation Process
- Positioning for Optimal Performance: The pedestals were installed at a width of 1.5 metres to ensure full coverage of the entryway. However, to avoid potential interference from the electronic sliding doors, we positioned the system slightly away from them.
- Cable Management: All cables were neatly dropped inside the chase line through the grout, maintaining a clean and professional finish while ensuring the system remained discrete yet effective.
- Seamless Execution: Our expert installation team worked closely with the leisure centre staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations. The installation process was efficient and conducted with precision, leaving the site in an immaculate condition upon completion.
Outcome
The installation of the X Clear AM pedestal system has provided the leisure centre with a robust, visible deterrent against theft, significantly reducing shrinkage of high-risk items such as swimwear and swimming aides.
