Enhancing Castle's Retail Security
About the Project
This project involved the initial installation of two single AM pedestals to secure the castle’s fire exits. In 2025, we will return to complete the setup by installing two discreet door loop systems at the front entrance and main exit. Castle’s retail space is designed to reflect its heritage and elegance, and our installation needed to align seamlessly with its sophisticated aesthetic while ensuring top-tier security.
Our goal was to safeguard all items of clothing, whisky, and memorabilia from theft, providing an effective yet unobtrusive solution. This one-off installation required careful planning and execution to integrate with the shopfitters’ and designers’ vision for the space.
Scope of Work
- Phase 1: Installed 2 single AM pedestals to cover fire exits, ensuring the immediate protection of high-value merchandise.
- Phase 2 (January 2025): Planned installation of 2 door loop systems at the main entry and exit points to enhance security further.
- All cables and controllers were routed discreetly to a drawer built into one of the display units, maintaining a clean and organised setup.
- Coordinated closely with shopfitters and designers to ensure the security systems complemented the store’s design.
Challenges and Solutions
One of the key challenges was ensuring that the security systems blended seamlessly with the castle’s luxurious retail environment. We opted for discreet installations, routing all cables and controllers to a hidden drawer within a display unit. This approach not only maintained the store’s visual appeal but also ensured easy access for system maintenance.
Collaboration was another critical aspect of the project. Working closely with the shopfitters and designers, we ensured that every element of the installation aligned with Castle’s high standards and aesthetic requirements.
Results
The initial phase of the project was successfully completed, with two single AM pedestals installed to cover the fire exits. The clean and efficient installation process was met with praise from the client.
The upcoming second phase will further enhance the security of the retail space, providing a comprehensive solution tailored to client’s needs. The addition of the door loop systems will ensure robust protection for all merchandise, offering peace of mind for both staff and customers.
